Particulars The NIEUW NIEUWERKERK called at Duins, 09 till 10-08-1761: 3 seafarers and 7 soldiers were pressed by the English. The 14 seafarers who went ashore at the Cape included 4 deserters; the 10 passengers who embarked there included 2 Chinese, released from exile, and a bandit, discovered as a stowaway on the NIJENBORG, which was returning to patria in 1761/2 (see 7612).
