Published by S.L. van der Wal, P.J. Drooglever en M.J.B. Schouten The twenty-volume edition of Officiële bescheiden betreffende de Nederlands-Indonesische betrekkingen 1945-1950 contains a selection of documents that present as accurate a representation as possible of the policy that was administered by the respective governments of the Netherlands and the Dutch East Indies concerning the Dutch East Indies/Indonesia. The documentary edition is the result of a government assignment that was issued in 1969 as a result of questions raised in the Dutch parliament about the conduct of Dutch soldiers in Indonesia. The documents - which include minutes and accounts of meetings, reports, telegrams and correspondence - mostly come from government archives. This selection has been supplemented with documents, particularly letters, from the personal archives of policy-makers at the time. Volumes I and XI contain a detailed introduction that provides information about the archives consulted and the criteria used to select the documents. Each volume contains a subject index and an index of persons. Other publications and spin-offs from these editions include:
