The Research Guide dealing with Government and Administration in the Batavian-French period 1795-1813 was organised in accordance with a proposal by J. Roelevink that was approved by the board of the Institute of Netherlands History (ING) on 5 September 2000. Over the years, amendments were made in response to new developments, particularly in the area of digitisation. In partnership with the Nationaal Archief, the ING initiated a pilot project dealing with that part of the proposal that suggested publishing a digital image of the Index of the Algemene Staatssecretarie for the period 1798-1811. The Nationaal Archief supplied the images for the years 1806-1811. Drs. H. van Schie served as the contact.
