The old archives of the Wilhelmite monastery have been deposited in the Foundation of the Wilhelmite Museum and are kept in the entrance building of the old monastery. It concerns about 3,000 old documents. The library has been deposited at the Free University in Amsterdam (report KAN 2001).
The archive of the Congregation is not very voluminous because the Wilhelmite monastery in Huijbergen was destroyed in 1944, and most of the archives had been stored there. The archive created after 1944 has been preserved in its entirety and is still being kept in the mother convent. Documents of the Economic Section are almost always destroyed after ten years. Documents and files of deceased brothers are preserved in the Wilhelmite Museum mentioned above. The photographic archive is kept in the library room of the Congregation. The financial archive is kept by the administration and has been ordered in the usual way (KAN report 2001; visit report KAN 1997). The Congregation archive consists of correspondence, reports of chapters, management papers, rule and constitutions, contacts with other people and material with regard to the missions. Archival documents dating from before 1944 have been arranged by subject, and were probably inventoried by the Wilhelmite Museum. The Congregation archive has been arranged with a system of headings and described with a computer programme. Photos have been described in detail.
