TUYLL van SEROOSKERKEN, Isabella Agneta Elisabeth van, known chiefly as Belle van Zuylen and abroad as Isabelle de Charrière (born Zuylen, near Utrecht, 20 October 1740 – died Colombier, near Neuchâtel, Switzerland, 27 December 1805), author. Daughter of Diederik Jacob, Baron of Tuyll van Serooskerken (1707-1776), chairman of Utrecht’s College of Nobles and a delegate to the States General, and Helena Jacoba de Vicq (1724-1768). Isabella van Tuyll van Serooskerken married Charles-Emmanuel de Charrière de Penthaz (1735-1808) on 17 February 1771 in Zuylen. Their marriage was childless.
