Particulars The AMSTERDAM made two earlier attempts to depart: 15-11-1748 (return to Texel: 19-11) and 21-11 (return: 06-12). On 26-01 -1749 the ship ran ashore between Hastings and Beachy Head. The value of silver in coins and bars was f 300,104; most of it was recovered within a few days after the loss.
