This is an electronic edition of the registers that were kept by the clerks of the Counts of Holland, Zeeland and West-Friesland during the period 1299-1345. These records register over 3,500 documents and other texts relating to the Counts’ administration, all of which are published here. For more information about the registers and the edition method used, you are referred to the menu on the left, 'Introduction'.

The 'Overview' button presents a chronological list of all the published texts. The search window, which is accompanied by brief instructions for use, can be accessed via the 'Search button. You can proceed to the desired text both from the overview list and from the results of a search query. Having retrieved the desired text, you have the option of clicking to the next or preceding text in the registers or to the image or images of the text in question.

In the menu to the left, the 'Registers' button gives access to a list of the record volumes that have been published so far. Within each volume, one can choose between a codicological description and the option of virtually leafing through the volume in question. From an image you subsequently have the option of clicking on to the text or texts found on the page in question.
